WCRW Announces Summer Series: Leading Ladies of the Lone Star State
This summer, Wood County Republican Women is proud to present a special three-part speaker series celebrating strong conservative women who are making an impact across Texas and beyond.
The Leading Ladies of the Lone Star State Summer Speaker Series will take place at the Mineola Civic Center beginning at 5:30 PM on select evenings throughout the summer. Each event will feature a distinguished female leader with a unique perspective on faith, business, leadership, public service, and civic engagement.
This series was created to inspire, inform, and connect women across East Texas while highlighting the voices shaping conversations throughout our state and nation.
2026 Speaker Lineup
June 15 — Bunni Pounds
Bunni Pounds
Bunni Pounds is the founder and president of Christians Engaged and a nationally recognized advocate for faith-based civic involvement. She is also the visionary behind America Reads The Bible, an initiative encouraging Americans to reconnect with Scripture and prayer for the nation. Her work has inspired thousands to become more engaged in their communities and government through a biblical worldview.
July 20 — Danielle Buck
Danielle Buck
Danielle Buck serves as Vice President of Strategic Partnerships for Patriot Mobile, America’s only Christian conservative wireless provider. Through her leadership and advocacy work, Danielle has helped support conservative causes and organizations across Texas while encouraging businesses and individuals to align their spending with their values.
August 17 — Dr. Dawn Buckingham
Dawn Buckingham
Dr. Dawn Buckingham currently serves as the 29th Land Commissioner for the Great State of Texas. A physician, businesswoman, and public servant, Commissioner Buckingham has been a leading voice for protecting Texas land, resources, veterans, and border security. Her career in both medicine and government has made her one of the most influential conservative leaders in Texas today.

The Leading Ladies of the Lone Star State series is more than a set of events. It is an opportunity for women in Wood County and surrounding communities to gather, build relationships, and hear firsthand from leaders who are shaping the future of Texas.
